Hey fans this is Wil again.
I did get to see my team Sunday and I really like the team this year, this is going to be a good trip. The team is a good size with about 4 guys and 8 girls and 2 adult leaders. Most of the kids have been to Guatemala and the ones who haven't have been out of the country before.
The next couple of meetings will be more like ice breakers to help all of us get to know each other better, then we will probably be talking in more detail about what we will be doing there. The leaders gave us the gist of it last meeting about what we will be doing there which is basically the same things we usually do. That consists of sleeping one night in the mountains and painting the church, going to the state orphanage for one day, doing skits in the schools, working on campus, playing with the kids on campus, and spending our last night in Guatemala city.
This is another great experience for me and, when I return from the trip I will hopefully be speaking Spanish to you guys! I will keep posting more about the trip and the team updates when I hear about them, so please keep checking back in. Sorry this post is so short but I promise they will get longer as I learn more and go to more meetings, but until then enjoy some more pictures!
Well thanks again for following along with us and I will wright to you guys soon!
See you then!

About Me
- Anderson Family Life
- Dear friends, We began this blog in the summer of 2012 when our family was called to step "out" of our "normal" life as we lived it in Carrollton Texas and serve for 3 months at Housesofhope.org orphanage in Zacapa, Guatemala. A simple blog for our friends and family to stay in touch during our short journey. Since that season we have decided we will use this as a means to continue to log our journey, share our stories and create a platform to champion what inspires us. We hope you enjoy and pray that you are encouraged into action and deeper reflection on family and faith.

The new Adventure
One thing I am most excited about is the language school I will be taking after the Bent tree trip is over. After the 10 days with my team, my Mom, Sarah, and, Sarah Grace will come down and the four of us will take a class on Spanish. Spanish is the one language that I am determined to learn, mostly because I have the opportunity to use it so much and it will give me the privilege to speak to some of the kids in HOH that can not speak English. I think that would be extremely cool. So when I come back from the trip voy a hablar en espaƱol.
This isn't going to be a long post today but they will get longer when I learn more about the trip, also I am not going to be able to post very much once I get there but I will try to post as much as possible. I will also not post pictures of the trip until after I get back.
I will type to you guys later!
Wil
